Collegium Novum of the Jagiellonian University - the historic, main building of the Jagiellonian University located in Krakow at ul. Gołębia 24, in the Old Town.
The construction of the Collegium Novum building began in 1883 according to the design of Feliks Księżarski. The construction was completed and the building was put into use in 1887.
On November 6, 1939, in room number 56, professors and academics of the Jagiellonian University, the AGH University of Science and Technology and other higher education institutions in Krakow were arrested as part of Sonderaktion Krakau, and deported to concentration camps.
Collegium Novum is currently the main administrative building of the Jagiellonian University. It houses the seat of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, the dean's offices of the faculties, the bursary, the administration, professors' offices and lecture halls.
